StAMP - A Community Strengthening Program To Assist People Who Have Been In Prison

The StAMP-Mentoring Program has involved a range of local community organisations and government agencies working collaboratively to develop a coordinated approach to support people who have been in prison with their transition back into the community.
The aim of the Mentoring Program is to provide support and guidance to people who have spent time in custody living in the Marrickville LGA. StAMP has involved the recruitment of local volunteer mentors who have been provided with a comprehensive professional training program (includes a TAFE Mentoring Course) and support who have been linked to a local resident who is seeking support in their transition back into the community.
